The prices of gold and silver are trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.Witnessing a marginal downfall of 0.07 per cent or Rs 32, gold futures, maturing on February 4, 2022, are retailing at Rs 47,682 per 10 grams on the MCX.

As per Reuters, gold prices were flat on Wednesday, as traders focused on U.S. inflation data for rate clues after comments from the Federal Reserve chief fuelled a bullion rally last session.

As per the latest metal report, spot gold was little changed at $1,819.51 per ounce by 0135 GMT. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures were up 0.1 percent at $1,819.80.
